James W. Monteverde is the founder of The Monteverde Group, LLC, a financial services firm, with offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wheeling, West Virginia and Naples, Florida. Mr. Monteverde is nationally recognized as a keynote speaker at financial planning conferences, throughout the country and abroad, and has authored several texts including Wealth Enhancement and Preservation, second edition (Esperti Peterson Institute, 1996) and 21st Century Wealth (Esperti Peterson Institute, 2000). Mr. Monteverde has advanced degrees in estate planning and financial counseling. He holds the professional designations of Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, Accredited Estate Planner and Registered Financial Consultant. He has testified as an expert witness on insurance related matters. He is a qualifying and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, a member of the Top of the Table and The Forum 400.
Mr. Monteverde’s philanthropic efforts have earned him honorary citizenships in the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois. He is the past president of NAIFA-Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He also served two terms as a NAIFA trustee. He has served on several boards, was past chair of Eden Christian Academy and a National Financial Advisor for World Vision. He was also a member of the Advisory Council for United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation as well as chairman of the Advisory Board for PartnersFinancial and chair of the PartnersFinancial Charitable Foundation.
Mr. Monteverde is published in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and is a member of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils, The American Gold Key Society, The Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, The Society of Financial Service Professionals, and The Duquesne Club.
Jim has five children and resides in Sewickley Heights, Pennsylvania with his wife, Colleen.
